Hurricane Harvey
When Hurricane Harvey stormed into the Houston area, it left a trail of destruction. The Corps of Engineers ultimately made the decision to “control release” the Addicks and Barker reservoirs, which caused the flooding of Houston homes and commercial property both upstream and downstream of the reservoirs.

There is evidence that the government knew that there was a high risk of flooding to these properties. When private property is damaged or taken by the government, the property owner is entitled to compensation for the loss under the Fifth Amendment of the United States Constitution. The Flint Law firm will pursue your case against the federal government in the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., to recover the just compensation to which you are entitled.
